Art as Self-Care for Mental Health Professionals
To work in mental health is to be an expert in human suffering. While our work is rewarding and meaningful, sometimes things can weigh on us or be difficult to process. Join me for three hours of experientials and psychoeducation that can be applied to your personal life, no art experience or skill required.
Here’s what you can expect:
Education on contemporary neuroscience of restorative art making
A three-step guided art therapy directive designed by me to increase differentiation and process countertransference experiences
Discussion and processing of your art to identify and apply new insights to your sustained well-being
Group dynamic to facilitate shared transformation and insights
Reviews:
“I never learned how to paint or draw, but I was still able to participate in this workshop with joy. I was surprised how easy it was to participate with zero skills! In the end, I experienced a healing in my heart just following the directions given by Danielle. Thank you Danielle for such a positive experience!”
